I've been working from home since the start of the pandemic along with my immediate family so thankfully none of us have gotten sick. However one of our Australian internet friends close friend died from it after joking about dying when he got sick, so that kind of sucked. My aunt also works as a nurse in the hospital and got really sick; thankfully she is doing better now though.

Oh man I didn't realize that this thread had updates from 2021!

There is definitely a lot to unpack here but I won't disagree that mistakes were made, both my myself and the rest of the team. Trying to run the server while also going through college and having my first "real job" was very tough, and a lot of real life stuff got in the way.

The economy was definitely super messed up and we should've done more to fix it at the time. I've personally learned a ton from running WorldScape and I still keep everything like this website and the game online for the memories; hopefully you guys can join us in Discord sometime! Despite all of the stuff that happened I still love this community and would love to catch up with everyone.  :)

I plan on reviving WorldScape!

I'm checking the HD 508 client as we speak although 508 still seems slightly sluggish when user actions are registered.

Ah yes the moving of the party room makes that area look very odd!

Sorry for the massive delay, but you need to disable Gatekeeper to run the client.

Open Terminal and run:
sudo spctl --master-disable

and type your password when prompted (it won't show your typing)

and then head to System Preferences -> Security & Privacy and select Anywhere from the list at the bottom.
