I threw a grenade which explains my emote and "Die!!" to make more explosions.

I made something like that but it is with real life footage. I'm pretty sure he used sony vegas. I heard that after effects has more real effects, and also that it's easier to use.

I used Adobe After Effect CS5 64-bit (Since you can only install on a 64-bit only anyway)

Adobe After Effect is a lot more complicated then Sony Vegas.
I have used Sony Vegas for the past videos I've made for worldscape back, but now I'm moving a step further.
