You really shouldn't care about little things like that.
If they ask, you could have just explained that you were interested in the music, not the actual song. =P
And it's not like people haven't listened to this song and/or many parodies/remixes.
Just because you're listening to something doesn't mean you have to like it. -- Bad things are entertaining too. xD
Plus, if they're jerks about it, then they're jerks. Who cares?  ::)
