'Ping' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.


Whats wrong i can't use any commands in cmd.exe.

You have your location set to your desktop, you need to change it to "C:\Documents and Settings\Jack>".

Typing

@echo off
c:
cd \

usually fixes it for me.

Actually, I had the exact same problem as you Jack.
This is fully test and fully working.

Go to "C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe"

That will open the same program but this will ought to work.
No need to change any settings, just type the command.
