Jailbreak iPod Touch/iPhone 3GS/4G on 5.0.1/5.1.[UNTETHERED]

This works for the iPod Touch 3G/4G and the iPhone 3GS/4G

If you want to jailbreak ios 5.1, you can download the newest redsn0w(redsn0w says there's a newer version avalible, download it and upgrade your device to 5.1, 5.1 is not yet untethered, but watch the dev team blog for an update.

Download these files:
- Redsn0w 0.9.10BC5: http://blog.iphone-dev.org/post/14857834236/untethered-holidays
- (Optional) 5.0.1 Firmware(all devices, you need it if you want to unlock your iPhone!) http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/

1. Download Redsn0w for Windows or Mac OSX
2. Open it, it should look like this(if your on windows, run as admin!)

3. If you need anything extra, click "extras":

If your device gives an error, download the firmware and select one manually at the "extras" menu.
4. If your done with your extras(optional, you can jailbreak without selecting any firmware), click "Jailbreak"
5. Click "next", and you should see this:

7. Let the device work, it will take a few minutes, this should appear on your Device's screen:

8. The device should reboot, and if cydia is on your device's screen(the icon looks like this):

There are many different ways to jailbreak an iPod. And considering the fact that some don't work for some people, it's good to have multiple for people to try.
